Join us for First Inaugural Campus Poetry Walk!

The University Library and the Writing Center are hosting an outdoor 鈥減oetry walk鈥 to celebrate National Poetry Month in April 2023.
Opening the second week in April, the walk showcases 18 original poems written by students and other members of the campus community on the theme 鈥淐elebrating the Spaces We Live In.鈥
The poems will be posted on signs along a designated campus walking path beginning at D鈥橝ngelo Common, continuing around the Gabelli Business School, and ending behind Global Heritage Hall.
In conjunction with the walk, a community event and reception, featuring a public talk by former US Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky will be held on April 18th at 4:30 PM in the University Library鈥檚 Mary Tefft White Cultural Center.
A has also been created to preserve and highlight the Poetry Walk.
This project is supported by the Provost鈥檚 Office, the Mary Tefft White 鈥淭alking in the Library鈥 endowment, and the Center for Student Academic Success.
