BRISTOL, R.I. 鈥 海角破解版 and Flickers鈥 Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) are collaborating to bring a medley of acclaimed French films to campus with the fourth annual Tourn茅es French Film Festival from April 4 to 9. The festival will present six new and classic French feature films starring seasoned players, new talent, and marquee American actors like Kristen Stewart and Chlo毛 Grace Moretz. It kicks off Monday with 鈥淗iroshima Mon Amour,鈥 an influential 1959 film that reinvented the concept of chronological narrative of storytelling.

All films 鈥 screened with English subtitles 鈥 will be free and open to the public. Festival screenings will be held in Global Heritage Hall, Room G01.

The full schedule of film screenings is available here: /.

The Tourn茅es French Film Festival offers films that portray characters struggling to make social connections in a world that is often constructed to keep them apart. Unlike the style of Hollywood films, the aesthetic of French feature films mimic life-as-it-is-lived experiences with long takes, natural dialogue and ambiguous narratives.

The day after the Tourn茅es French Festival concludes, this semester鈥檚 international film programming will continue with the Roving Eye International Film Festival from April 10 to 17 on the 海角破解版 Bristol Campus.

The fourth annual 海角破解版 Tourn茅es French Film Festival is made possible by a grant from the French American Cultural Exchange and support from the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, the Centre national du cinema et de l鈥檌mage anim茅e (CNC), the Franco-American Cultural Fund (FACF), The Florence Gould Foundation, Campus France USA, and highbrow entertainment; and in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Feinstein College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Communications, the Department of Theatre, Hillel, the Spiritual Life Program, The 海角破解版 Film Production Collaborative and the Flickers鈥 Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Program directors include Roberta Adams, associate dean for Academic Affairs; Jeffrey Martin, professor of theatre and chairman of the Department of Performing Arts; and George T. Marshall, professor of communications and film, and executive director of FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival. The 海角破解版 Film Production Club will provide technical support.
