Residence Life & Housing is committed to making Roger Williams your home away from home, and helping you discover your path and your passion. Our resident students communities assist in fostering connections among your peers, assisting in learning life skills and provide memories for you.

The Division of Student Life is excited to welcome to campus for the Fall 2025 Semester.

Move In Schedule: Fall 2025

New students (first-year and transfer) living on campus will be moving in on Saturday, August 23rd.  Those Students who are     participating in early arrival programs (athletics, August Orientation, Honors Program Retreat, and ILA/SOAR retreat) will receive specific dates and times from their program coordinator. 

Returning students will be permitted to move-in to their fall 2025 housing assignment from Sunday, August 24th through Tuesday, August 26th.

Specific details about move-in will be sent through e-mail in August 2025. Students will sign up for a move in slot; and will be   checking in during their specific time slot.  

Due to the number of students in each time slots; students who arrive prior to their self-assigned time slot will be asked to wait.

Move In Process

First Year and Transfer Student

First Year and Transfer Student Move In will take place in the North Campus Residence Hall; with parking available in Lot D.  Students will arrive at North Campus Residence Hall at their self assigned move in time.   Students will receive their room keys and student ID once all first year and transfer check list items (financial clearance, health records and online training) have been confirmed.

Upon arriving at the student's Residence Hall, A family member must stay with the vehicle during unloading. Students should have all belongings labeled with name and room number.  After unloading, vehicles will be directed to move to Lot H or Lot C.  

Returning Student Move In

Returning Student Move In will take place in the North Campus Residence Hall; with parking available in Lot D.  Students will arrive at North Campus Residence Hall at their self assigned move in time.   Students will receive their room keys and student ID once financial clearance is confirmed.

Upon arriving at the student's Residence Hall, A family member must stay with the vehicle during unloading. 

After unloading, vehicles will need to immediately move to move to Lot H or Lot C.  

Helpful Move In Reminders
  • Many students items look similar, we recommend that you place your name on all belongings
  • All cardboard will need to be recycled; many students utilize recyclable bags and totes for move in
  • Don’t overpack but be sure to pack all the essential stuff.
  • Communicate with your roommate(s) and/or suitemates ahead of time to determine what each person is bringing.
  • Prepare for the weather. It’s not uncommon for Move-in Day to be very hot and humid in August. Dress appropriately and stay hydrated.

All first year and transfer students are required to attend the Roger Days programming from Sunday, August 24th through Tuesday, August 26th.

Be sure to contact your roommate(s) (if applicable) and discuss the arrangements as to who will bring what to avoid duplications. 

º£½ÇÆÆ½â°æ is seeking photograph submissions depicting students’ residence hall room decoration as part of our best residence hall rooms competition.  

Student Life Photo Committee will meet to award the Best Room in South Campus and North Campus areas.  Each room occupant will receive a $50 Amazon Shopping Spree for winning best room for each area.  The Student Life Committee will award pizza to the winning room in each residence hall.
